Our Services

The advanced diagnostic technique of ultrasound has become a standard of care in veterinary medicine allowing the practitioner the opportunity to opt for less invasive testing. Using the latest Samsung Ultrasound — one the most advanced ultrasound imaging systems available today—we offer the following diagnostic imaging services conveniently onsite at your facility.

Abdominal Ultrasound

Abdominal ultrasound is a non-invasive, versatile diagnostic imaging technique used to assess internal organs, blood vessels, lymph nodes, and the peritoneal cavity. It provides valuable diagnostic insight for conditions such as abdominal pain, obstructions, pancreatitis, organ enlargement, kidney or bladder stones, and check for potential metastasis. Often used in conjunction with x-rays for a more comprehensive evaluation and helps with identify masses and evaluate organ structure. Providing valuable diagnostic insight without the need for anesthesia or invasive surgery.

We will bring specialized equipment directly to your clinic, perform the ultrasound on-site, and the images will be reviewed by a board-certified veterinary radiologist for expert interpretation.

Echocardiogram (Cardiac Ultrasound)

A woman is holding a dog on an examination table, with a veterinarian's ultrasound probe pressed against the dog's heart. The setting is in a veterinary clinic with wooden walls.

Echocardiogram is a non-invasive, specialized ultrasound used to evaluate the structure and function of the heart and major vessels. It provides detailed information essential for diagnosing and managing cardiac conditions and is commonly recommended when signs of heart disease or congenital abnormalities are detected during physical exams or x-rays.

Echocardiography provides detailed insight into:

  • Valve structure and motion

  • Chamber size and wall thickness

  • Myocardial contractility and heart rate

  • Intra-cardiac pressures & indirect assessment of systemic & pulmonary blood pressures

  • Outflow tract velocities

  • Congenital defects

This imaging allows for accurate diagnosis, helps guide therapeutic decisions, and enables monitoring of treatment response over time. Knowing the extent of cardiac pathology supports more informed treatment plans and can indicate when a referral to a veterinary cardiologist is appropriate.

All echocardiograms will be transferred to a board-certified veterinary cardiologist for expert interpretation and treatment recommendations.

Ultrasound-Guided Aspirates

Two women, one seated and one standing, examine an ultrasound picture on a portable monitor in a room with wooden panels and gray walls.

We can also perform Ultrasound guided fine needle aspirates, allowing us to safely and precisely collect tissue samples for laboratory testing. The speed and accuracy of results frequently outweigh the stress, expense, and pain of more invasive diagnostics and surgery with an accurate diagnosis in most cases.

Other services are available upon request.

All exams are interpreted by board-certified veterinary radiologists or cardiologists, with detailed reports returned in 1–2 business days.
